Captain Vikram Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of Yuwee

Vikram recognizes the importance of effective communication in today’s fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping his clients inimproving productivity and drive business growth.

With more than 22 years of working experience in diverse organizations including the Indian military and leading technology companies like Google and Facebook, Capt Vikram is an entrepreneurial and driven business leader. He is known for his ability to design a winning strategy and deploy successful execution.

His leadership style is about reaching moon shot goals by empowering his team and seeking continuous growth in all aspects of his life. He has received several awards and certifications for his outstanding performance from Facebook and Google.

He has also started numerous entrepreneurial ventures including Tamka Holding, YuViTime XS, Asia Fn MM, and Sun Electric.

Achievements in Google Inc : At Google, Vikram was awarded Google Certificate of Excellence for outstanding services, Optimizing Transport Operations and for preparing the Internal Audit Document & Employee assessment parameters for Real Estate & Workplace Services. He was also awarded Management’s Discretionary Award for hard work & dedication and awarded peer recognition certificates for collaboration & cross functional work as a regional manager in real estate and workplace services.
Achievements in Facebook Inc : After joining Facebook, Vikram designed and built offices to support business strategy and growth across APAC working in real estate, facilities management, and security operations. Additionally, he devised a scalable method that is used to design and build space unique to Facebook’s culture and values. He achieved industry-leading recognition called LEED certification (Platinum and Gold), design awards, and extensive media coverage across all sites based on the use of innovative workplace solutions. He directed a team in Facebook Inc. that won the Melbourne Design Award in 2013 for best office interiors in Sydney Office and won AIA Honour Award in 2014 for best office interiors in the Hong Kong office.
Captain in Indian Army : Vikram served as a commissioned officer for over six years, and Chief Operating Officer for regiment in Indian Army. Directing changes in ongoing logistics policies for related organization and Managing operational readiness & assets for the regiment were his key duties. He participated in two battles, strategic planning processes as a young officer and held active involvement in anti-terrorist operations. As a war casualty, after being injured in multiple active operations he took retirement from service.

Nitin Pangarkar, Co- Founder and Director of Yuwee

Nitin is an Academic Director of the MBA Program at National University of Singapore. Nitin researches and teaches in the areas of strategic management and international business. Some of his publications include, dozens of research papers in journals (academic as well as managerial) and presentations in international conferences, three books (one in the third edition and another in the second edition; both have been translated into Mandarin), numerous business cases and articles in business newspapers in India, Singapore, and Malaysia, among others. Three of his books include a casebook, a trade book (industry and company study) and a managerial book offering strategic advice to companies aspiring for high performance.

Notably, his work has been cited or quoted in numerous popular media including Straits Times (Singapore), Business Times (Singapore), The Edge (Malaysia), International Herald Tribune (USA), Forbes (USA), Asian Wall Street Journal (USA), Economic Times and Hindu (India).

He has also been featured as an expert commentator on several TV channels, most recently on BBC, Channel News Asia, and CNBC.In addition, he has also facilitated sessions on strategic management for companies such as IBM, Panasonic, JLL, Mitsui and Co., Sime Darby, Astra, DHL, AGC/ Asahi Glass, and Nestle, among others.

Prof Hari Krishna Garg, Co-Founder of Yuwee

Professor Hari K Garg is an associate professor and Co-Chair of the Computer Engineering joint academic committee. He obtained his BTech degree in EE from IIT Delhi, India. Subsequently, he obtained his MEng & PhD degrees from Concordia University, Canada, and an MBA from Syracuse University, USA.

Moreover, he was a faculty member at Syracuse University, USA for 10 years. He has been with the National University of Singapore, since 1995 with the exception of a year when he was with Philips. With Hari’s research interests in the area of cellular/mobile/wireless communications, digital signal/image processing, coding theory and digital watermarking, he has made a remarkable impact through his extensive publishings. He is also a co-author of many books on topics in digital signal processing.Hari enjoys being an entrepreneur and is a founder of several companies in the space of mobile telephony.The list includes PurpleAce, Fatte, and his latest endeavor Manovega Communications. In his spare time, Hari enjoys singing and listening to Bollywood music and an evil game of Sudoku.
